TIME FOR AN OVERALL INSURANCE CHECK-UP?

INSURANCE EXPERTS SHARE INSIGHTS ON HOW CONSUMERS CAN REMAIN SAVVY WITH THEIR COVERAGE DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS

Scott Holeman

Director, Media Relations, Triple-I

The COVID-19 crisis has prompted many people to reevaluate the best ways to protect their financial futures.

Whether it is automobile, homeowners, renters, or life insurance, now is a good time to review your current policies to see 1) how you can save money on premiums and; 2) which policies may need to be adjusted.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • U.S. auto insurers are offering more than $10 billion in COVID-19 related premium relief to drivers
  • Drivers can reduce costs further by raising their deductible and dropping collision coverage on an older vehicle
  • Reviewing whether you have the right types and amount of insurance coverage can result in even more savings
  • Consumers typically overestimate the cost of buying a term life insurance policy

On Tuesday, May 5th, the Triple-I’s subject matter experts are available to advise consumers on ways to check-up on their insurance needs. They can share how listeners can get assistance from auto insurers if they have trouble paying their bills, why it’s a good time to take a home inventory, what to look for when checking your homeowners or renters coverage, and ways to purchase an affordable life insurance policy.
