With the arrival of spring, we’ve officially entered the start of prom and graduation season. This is an exciting and monumental time in a teenager’s life. It’s also a time when they may be faced with increased peer pressure to engage in underage drinking.

For parents who have questions on how to approach their teens or don’t know where to start can visit FamilyTalkAboutDrinking.com. Family Talk About Drinking is a free online resource that gives parents the knowledge, confidence and tools to help prevent underage drinking created by certified parent coach, MJ Corcoran and Anheuser-Busch.

This year, Anheuser-Busch has partnered with world renowned improvisational comedy enterprise, The Second City to create a series of six short and relatable videos to help raise awareness about why parents should talk with their teenagers about drinking and making responsible choices, specifically around prom and graduation season. According to the GfK Roper Youth Report, parents are the number one influence for 25 years when it comes to their children’s decisions on whether or not to drink alcohol underage. Parents should be aware of and take confidence in their influence and use it to talk with their teens on this important topic.

On Tuesday, May 3rd, certified parent coach, MJ Corcoran is available for LIVE interviews to inspire parents to shake things up when it comes to discussing this important matter with their teenagers. She will give tips to help parents better connect with their children and make a difference in their lives as well as providing ways to help ensure teens are safe throughout prom and graduation season.
