  1. Jason Strong says

Glad to hear you talking about John Guica. He is an innocent man in prison. I know his mother. I know many cases like this. I myself was wrongfully convicted in Illinois, and lost 15 1/2 years. Wrongful convictions is a big problem. Not as rare as some people may think. Thank you for shinning light on this. I could speak volumes about this subject, but I’ll leave it short for now. Just know I appreciate the talk about this case.

  2. Wow you are spot on with the Guica case, I am sure their are a few more just like his in her self proclaimed 35-0 record. I am not sure how she can sleep at night knowing what she did to this man. there needs to be a law to prosecute the prosecutors. When prosecutors deliberately hide evidence to win cases and get raises.

  3. Jaci Thompson says

Thank you for speaking about John Giuca! I’m sure the corrupt Anna Sigga Nicolazzi has ruined more lives than just his! John is innocent! Something has to change!

  4. Thanks for sharing the #WrongfulConviction of John Guica with us. This is a case that needs lots of attention because it is a total miscarriage of justice.

  5. The prosecutor Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi should be held accountable for hiding favorable evidence from the jury. She deceived the jury.

  6. Victor Macucachi says

Michael Volpe thoroughly explains the John Guica case and it becomes obvious that John has been wrongfully charged with a crime he had nothing to do with. The prosecutor is the criminal in this case.

  7. The juror thought John G i u c a was Jewish and hated him for being Jewish.
G i u c a is pronounced Jew- Ka. Thats why he thought he was Jewish.

  8. Hey I remember this case it was on ABC 20/20 and the Judge Danny Chun was favoring the prosecutors. He wouldn’t give Mr Giuca bail after14 innocent years in prison!!!

  9. Michael Volpe I am glad to hear that you brought up John Guica’s Wrongful Conviction because it is a very prime example of how this epidemic is sweeping this nation and that only wins matter more than innocence. The general tough on crimes spiel many prosecutors give only highlights their agendas to have wins regardless of innocence and truth. Their own ill willed agendas and career advancements only proves more and more that a person doesn’t have to do anything to go to jail. Doreen is a very powerful and beautiful advocate for her son. I respect you Doreen and am glad to speak to you and have you in Peter Wlasiuk and my life. It’s certainly not an easy fight going up against the injustice system but it is worth it. #FreeJohnGuica
Doreen as you know #TEAMPETE supports you and your fight! #EndWrongfulConvictions #BeTheChange #PowerHousesMakingAWorldwideMovement

  10. Thank you for the coverage on the case of John Giuca. I was really proud of the fact that he mentioned the prosecutor and her perfect conviction score. If anyone wins every case they try, there’s a flaw. Allowing prosecutors to continue to lie is keeping innocent men and women in prison. Prosecutorial misconduct, jury misconduct, Brady violations, and conflict of interest should be automatic mistrials. Not years upon years of proving what’s in black and white in front of you. You laid off this case beautifully and we appreciate your support!!

  11. I know the John Giuca case. His mother keeps asking for a fair trial for her son and they won’t give them one. I suspect its going to open a can of worms.

  12. The new DA promised reform yet he is denying John Giuca a fair trial. The new recording that was recently turned over was in the posession of Gonzales for 15 years and yet he still opposes a fair trial for Mr. Giuca!! Gonzales is giving the public the illusion of justice, he is a sham!

  13. I hope that the prosecutor finally gets held accountable so she doesn’t continues to keep innocent people in prison, like John Giuca. I know Johns Case. I have such love for him and his mother. After studying the case, I went to see John at Rickers to let him know WE AREN’T GOING TO LEAVE HIM IN THERE! I hope this will get people to know that it can happen to them. We have to fight this horrible epidemic and bring justice to John and his family!

  14. As a mother of a wrongly convicted son, it is heartbreaking to see another mother in so much pain, desperate to get her son home. Thank you for doing this for her and I hope and pray John can be home soon. This prosecutor needs to wise up and fix this problem she has caused. Thank you, Proud mother of Adam Braseel, Jean Davis

  15. Rebecca Gwaltney says

Thank you so much for talking about John Guica’s wrongful conviction. It is so incredibly appalling to me that I meet more and more people who either know someone wrongfully convicted, or have been themselves. It is like an epidemic! Why is our justice system so corrupt. There is pride in the conviction rate of this crooked attorney! It is like a notch in her belt! John Guica is clearly innocent, so WHY is he still behind bars? Why is he still fighting for his freedom while she and others continue locking up the wrong people, knowing they are innocent, withholding information, lying and whatever it takes to get the win. Thanks to the Innocence Project and others we are seeing so may free at last, but not until they have sacrificed 20 plus years for another persons crime. Even then, no one wants to admit they were wrong. I hope this prosecutor is held accountable for what she has done to John, and I am sure many others. Thank you again for sharing John’s story.

  16. Andrea Smartt says

As the sister of a wrongfully convicted man I want you to know that we have absolutely got to end this epidemic and get these prosecutors out of our judicial system, hold them accountable for their actions! John Guica is obviously an innocent man and we are here to demand his release!
