May 19, 2015: Wade Hayes

Country Music Star Makes Comeback After Cancer
Wade Hayes, Advanced Colorectal Cancer Advocate, Launches New Album And Shares Inspirational Story

THE BILL MARTINEZ SHOW INTERVIEW:

Tuesday, May 19, 2015 – 9:20 AM ET – 9:30 AM ET

Country music singer Wade Hayes is available to speak about how he transformed his diagnosis with advanced colorectal cancer into an opportunity to make a difference and raise disease awareness through his passion for performing country music.

Wade was inspired to write the cover track of his newly released album “Go Live Your Life” after his oncologist told him he no longer had evidence of the disease after two bouts with colorectal cancer, a disease that impacted more than 136,000 Americans in 2014 with about one in five having an advanced form.  “Go Live Your Life” is an emotional song that summarizes Wade’s attitude and he hopes it can inspire people going through difficult times to stay strong.

Because of what he’s been through, Wade is partnering with Genentech to give back to patients who need it most: for every iTunes download of “Go Live Your Life,” Genentech will donate a $1 (up to $50,000) to the Colon Cancer Alliance Blue Note Fund, a non-profit that supports advanced colorectal cancer patients.
